Abstract:
This paper describes the construction of a new five一dimensional chaotic system and the simulation ofa discrete chaotic model,and includes chaotic attractor phase portraits of the system. A number of the system’scharacteristics are analyzed,such as dissipativity,existence of attractors,stability of equilibria,Lyapunov exponent,Lyapunov dimension,power spectrum,Poincare sectional view,Lyapunov exponent spectrum,and bifurcation diagram. This analysis shows that the system has chaotic characteristics and complex dynamic behavior that issensitive to the system parameters. To enhance its applicability,the system is physically realized using digital cir-cuits,and the discrete five一dimensional chaotic system is simulated using ModelSim. VHDL programs are configured into a field一programmable gate array,and chaotic attractor phase portraits are observed through an oscilloscope. The experimental results from this digital circuit coincide with the simulation analysis of the discrete model,providing further proof of the chaotic characteristics of the system.
